  • History:
Vendaria, Inc. - Software Developer Engineer (Jun 00 - Feb 04)
Wrote a scalable customer reporting GUI system for Video on Demand statistics using ASP, SQL Server and JavaScript. Subscribing customers could access over 150 predefined reports showing service trend data via a secure login. A user could access limited reports for their company or group and select dates and other filter criteria to produce drill-down derivative reports. This service is branded as a product called Capture(tm).

I Developed Cadence(tm), a tool for measuring Content Delivery Network performance, capturing data into a SQL database for reporting use and a dynamic best-carrier selection process. This program ran daily, was designed in Visual Basic and scheduled to be deployed as a number of statistic gathering agents nationally.

I Designed XML schema for Vendaria's content delivery lists used by Amazon.com and Wal*Mart. The schema contained a recursable structure in which to hold all of the necessary video delivery information for the available SKUs on a customer web site so they can add newly available product videos to their nightly build processes.

JA Young and Co. - Consultant (Mar 99 - Jun 00)
I was exposed to a large number of web-based projects. Both on and off-site development for clients requiring Internet and Intranet solutions that integrated with custom designed databases. I was exposed to direct client interaction and project processes from concept and architecture to completion and maintenance.

I created a calendar driven web site and database for scheduling pickup, delivery, notification and arrivals of recyclable materials. The perpetual calendar interface listed color coded activity links for items occurring on that day. Each person logging in had unique and personalized event information for vendors, recyclers and brokers. A newly scheduled item generated a instantaneous notification to parties involved with a transaction, this improved overall efficiency in addition to providing a real-time business outlook.

I participated in developing a system which integrated Real-Time foreign exchange currency prices into an online service application hosting access to banks and traders. The system pushed the newest data to connected customers using an XML data island and provided an interface in which to buy and sell foreign currency. It used database rules to create a profitable margin against rapidly fluctuating prices.

Wall Data - Web Database Administrator (Oct 98 - Mar 99)
Led web application development and maintenance for the E-Commerce systems at Wall Data including the Online Store, Online Learning Services and Per Incident Processing web sites. Designed and implementing new database-driven web applications, developed database models and created administration tools that facilitate online interaction with the data systems. I also created proprietary office automation programs in Visual Basic to improve response times and data distribution pace.

Wall Data - Developer Support Engineer (May 96 - Oct 98)
Provided technical and customer support for the software development kit via phone and email, helping customers programming with Wall Data's ActiveX Tool Suite to integrate legacy data into applications and to resolve software and development issues. Designed the layout for technical content for the Developer Support web pages on the web site. Created of the certification process for new employees entering the developer support group. Wrote end user technical information documents and FAQs. Designed and developed both desktop and web-based applications that demonstrated logic and programming techniques. These applications were made available for download by customers and were also used for internal training purposes. The availability of these applications contributed to the reduction of support issues as well as a reduction in the time spent resolving issues.
